The Staff of Old Newsboys of Flint

Christopher Hamilton

The Old Newsboys Executive Director, Christopher Hamilton, is a lifetime resident of Genesee County. After playing tackle/ defensive end in Purdue University’s only Rose Bowl winning football team, Chris returned home with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education. He joined AC Spark Plug in 1969, where he worked until his retirement in 2007. A lifelong social philanthropist, he has been a driving force at Boy Scouts of America, Easter Seals, the United Way and, of course, the Old Newsboys. Joining the ONB board in 1985, Chris served as Board President in 1995 and continued as Secretary/ Treasurer until asked to take over the position of Executive Director in November, 2008. He is an active member of the Burton Rotary, F&AM lodge #23, Flint Elks #222, Burton Eagles, and several Chambers of Commerce. Chris is an avid sportsman and loves golf, boating, and just relaxing by the water. The backbone of the ONB staff, Chris loves his work because he feels it allows him the privilege of being the voice of children who might otherwise be forgotten.

Heather McMullen

Heather McMullen became Finance Director for the Old Newsboys in November 2008. While concentrating most of her time on the business end of the organization Heather also plays a primary role in Program Management and in the procurement and tracking aspects of programs. A laid-back hockey mom, Heather loves all things sports, travel, and autumn in Michigan. Heather loves being a part of the Old Newsboys team because, she says, it makes her heart smile.

Linda Campbell

The newest addition to the Old Newsboys staff is Linda Campbell. A University of Michigan-Flint Alumni, Linda serves as the Director of Funding Development. As well as her fundraising duties, she shares program oversight and administrative duties with Heather McMullen. Linda is also an Adjunct Professor in Cleary University’s Masters of Business Administration program, is an active member of the Windmill Women, a Board Member for the T. R. Harris Community Development Corporation, and is devoted to her club and friends at the Genesee Valley Rotary. She also volunteers for several schools, churches, and other non-profit organizations. Linda feels working for a nonprofit is a labor of love and is honored to work for the Old Newsboys because it allows her to work with like-minded colleagues toward a goal that benefits the most vulnerable among us.
