Holiday Box Program
Although the Old Newsboys (ONB) administer three programs, they are best known for the Holiday Box Program. The ONB provides a timeframe for parents (or legal guardians) to enroll their child. Children who are low income (185% of poverty) or suffer from special circumstances, like sudden situation changes including homelessness or job loss, qualify for the program.
Once a child qualifies for the program he or she receives a fleece running suit, socks and underclothes, a hat and pair of warm gloves, dental hygiene products, and a beautiful new toy.
In 2009, 5,892 children received holiday boxes from the Old Newsboys. For more information about this program, contact us.
